Locus C-Fabit
Mobile App
A visual archive of places to be narrated.

What is Locus
Locus C-Fabit is an app developed within the C-Fabit project, funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and led by the Academy of Fine Arts of Catania.
It allows users to photograph locations in Eastern Sicily and associate them with a film genre. The result is a collective map of the territory, a reference point for those seeking the right place to set a story.
Access is currently restricted to students of the institutions involved in the project.

How it works

Explore
Browse Locus entries created by other users. Filter by film genre and save your favourites.

Create
Photograph a location and add it to the map. Describe its physical and sensory characteristics.

Classify
Assign a film genre to each location. Contribute to the development of the Locus collective archive.
A growing map
Each Locus added enriches an ever-evolving map.
Over time, genres overlap and atmospheres multiply. The territory takes shape in ways that no traditional guide could fully capture.
Each user contribution is not only data. It is a perspective that enriches the collective perception of places.
